2025 is an exciting time to be bride. Gone are the days of ‘Say Yes To The Dress’ anecdotes with lukewarm champagne in by-gone era bridal suites. Modern brides know their own style and designer preferences, choosing to order their dresses online to try at home. While sustainability isn’t at the forefront for most brides, it’s clear that spending a large chunk on a dress that you’ll wear once feels a tad.…excessive? While second-hand bridal is big business I’m more interested in finding those special sustainable pieces that make you feel as though you’ve stumbled across treasure.

For my first wedding, several years ago, I purposely sought out a sustainable designer who only used surplus or dead-stock fabrics from luxury brands.
